Record mogul Ted Lucas recognized for his contributions to Miami-Dade County

Miami, FL - Whenever Miami-Dade County Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan calls on Ted Lucas, he always responds to help his community. For his unwavering support of Miami-Dade County, Commissioner Jordan honored the owner of Slip ‘N Slide Records and the Ted Lucas Foundation with a proclamation claiming September 4, 2013 as Ted Lucas Day.

“When I need him to help underprivileged families during Thanksgiving, he’s there, going door-to-door with me delivering food baskets,” said Commissioner Jordan. “When I call on him to dig deep into his pockets to support my numerous community service projects, he has never said no. I am truly grateful for the work that he has, and continues to do in District 1!”
