Miami, FL – More than 300 people turned out this past weekend to celebrate Latin cultures during the Hispanic Heritage Festival in Miami. Sponsored by Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan, the festival is an annual event highlighting crafts and food unique to the growing number of Hispanics in the Northwest Corridor of Miami-Dade County. This year’s festival marked the seventh year that Commissioner Jordan treated children to pony rides, face painting, rock climbing, and snow cones. Adults feasted on Paella and Lechon.
The 2013 Hispanic Heritage Festival was sponsored in part by Horsepower Electric, MCM, Related Urban, Odebrecht, Warren Henry Automobiles, Borinquen Healthcare Centers Inc., Lasarte Law Firm, and El Dorado Furniture.
