Commissioner Jordan teams up with Music Philanthropist to distribute Thanksgiving baskets to needy residents
Miami Gardens, FL - Several needy families who were pre-selected in North Miami-Dade County will receive Thanksgiving baskets with all the trimmings thanks to Miami-Dade County Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan and Ted Lucas, CEO of the Ted Lucas Foundation. The distribution of canned goods and turkeys will begin on Tuesday, November 26, at 9:00 a.m., at Landmark, 20000 N.W. 47 Avenue, in Miami, Florida, where Commissioner Jordan and Lucas will be joined by Miami Dolphins Alumni. The goodwill mission will continue throughout the morning as Commissioner Jordan and Lucas make front door visits to several of Miami-Dade County’s neediest residents. Throughout the day, more than 750 turkeys will be distributed to pre-selected local organizations, churches, and residents at Landmark.
Commissioner Jordan’s annual Thanksgiving Basket distribution was sponsored in part by the Ted Lucas Foundation, Landmark Aviation, Miami Dolphins, Suffolk Construction, and World Waste Recycling.
