Commissioner Jordan honors Miami Norland boys 6A basketball team for winning State Championship three consecutive years

(Miami, FL) – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan was beaming with pride today as she honored the Miami Norland Senior High School Boys 6A Basketball Team for winning the State Championship title for three consecutive years. Miami Norland High School, which is located in Commissioner Jordan’s district, has produced very talented athletes who have excelled at the collegiate level.

“I wanted to do something special for this team since they have accomplished this major feat,” said Commissioner Jordan. “I personally picked up the telephone and asked this community to donate towards their championship rings.”

Commissioner Jordan presented Miami Norland High School Principal Reginald Lee with a ceremonial check in the amount of $7,500. The donation was made by an anonymous donor.
