Commissioner Monestime hosts free Back-To-School Book Bag Giveaway in District 2

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --  Commissioner Jean Monestime, District 2, is making sure that students in his district are prepared for the 2013 school year with a free Back-to-School Book Bag Giveaway event scheduled for Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Oak Grove Park, 690 N.E. 159^th Street from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

At the book bag giveaway and family fun day, residents will enjoy free music, food and a bounce house. The event is being held in collaboration with Reading Explorers and Neighbors and Neighbors Association, Inc.

Book bags will be available for District 2 residents only, while supplies last. A parent must accompany their child to receive a book bag. Parents must also bring identification to verify residency in District 2.
