Commissioner Monestime to help feed seniors in his district
MIAMI, FL – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jean Monestime, District 2, will team up with the Miami Marlins and Feeding South Florida to distribute food at three senior centers in his district on Thursday, April 17.
Commissioner Monestime will kick off the food distribution with a press conference at 10 a.m. at Covenant Palm, 8400 NW 25th Ave.
The second distribution will take place at Twin Lakes, 1205 NW 95th St., from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The final distribution will be conducted at Palm Court/Palm Towers, 930 NW 95th St. from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
“I want to thank the Miami Marlins and Feeding South Florida for generously helping feed the elderly in our community, especially seniors on a fixed income who sometimes sadly have to choose between paying for their groceries or their medication,” Commissioner Monestime said.
