County and City Community Relations Boards to host a community briefing on recent shootings


(MIAMI, FL) – The Community Relations Boards of Miami-Dade County and the City of Miami will host a Community Briefing on responses to the fatal shootings of 10-year-old Marlon Eason and 16-year-old Richard Hallman on Wednesday, April 8 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Culmer Center, 1600 NW 3rd Ave., Miami, FL 33136.

The briefing will provide a forum for engaging community members, sharing information and empowering residents, agencies and leaders to work together to stop further violence. Police and law enforcement leaders will update the community about the progress of their investigations and activities going forward.

Elected officials, agency representatives and advocates will identify resources to enhance services and strengthen partnerships with the community. The public will have the opportunity to ask questions, share insights and make recommendations. This community briefing is being convened in cooperation with the City of Miami Police Department.
