(MIAMI-DADE, FL) – As part of Haitian Cultural Heritage Month, Miami-Dade County Commission Chairman Jean Monestime will host the fourth annual Haitian History Bee Championship on Wednesday, May 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the County Commission Chamber, located on the second floor of the Stephen P. Young contestants drawn from Miami-Dade elementary, middle and high schools will face off on their knowledge of Haitian history. The students’ teachers have been preparing them for the competition for the past two months.

“Every year, I’m amazed at how much children from all different cultural and ethnic backgrounds know about Haiti’s rich history,” Chairman Monestime said.
