Free seminar to help small businesses


MIAMI, FL – Small business owners looking to do business with Miami-Dade County and other local agencies and organizations can attend an upcoming free seminar to learn about contracting opportunities.

The Miami-Dade County Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board and Miami-Dade County Small Business Development, in conjunction with County Commissioner Rebeca Sosa, will present a “Vendor Outreach Event” on Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Rebeca Sosa Multipurpose Facility at the West Miami Recreation Center, 1700 SW 62nd Ave., West Miami, FL 33135.

Attendees will learn about contracting and subcontracting opportunities, as well as how to obtain County small business grants and how to become certified as a Small Business Enterprise firm. Representatives from Miami-Dade County departments, the Jackson Health System, the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority, and the Beacon Council will be on hand to provide information to small business owners.
