Commissioner Monestime to launch the Fit2Read Literacy Program

MIAMI – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jean Monestime will kick off the Fit2Read Literacy Program on Friday, Dec. 8 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Shalom Community Church, 900 NE 132nd St., North Miami, FL 33161.

Several professionals in the areas of literacy and parenting will provide their expertise.

Fit2Read addresses Commissioner Monestime's continuing endeavor to address literacy concerns within his district. The program represents his efforts to be part of the solution to increasing literacy.
