Commissioner Monestime presents theĀ 3rd Annual Uptown Avenue 7 Arts & Culture Festival
MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jean Monestime and the Northwest 7th Avenue Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) will present the 3rd Annual Uptown Avenue 7 Arts & Culture Festival on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Arcola Lakes Library Plaza, 8240 NW 7th Ave., Miami, FL 33150.
Headlining the festival will be Howard Hewett, who rose to fame as the lead vocalist for Grammy award-winning R&B/Soul group Shalamar. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the entertainment.
The free festival will feature an iconic Pop-up Art exhibition curated by MUCE, a CRA lounge, main stage performances, food trucks, live painting, an Arts Meet & Greet Panel, Vendors Row, Lunch & Learn with the NW 7th Avenue CRA, Dinner & Conversation with Northside Police, free yoga sessions, an all-new Kid Zone and more.
“This annual celebration is helping put Northwest 7th Avenue on the map as a vibrant cultural and commercial corridor, and I’m proud to be a part of it,” Commissioner Monestime said.
