Commissioner Bastien and Commissioner Hardemon to host Haitian History Bee for youth


MIAMI-DADE – Commissioner Marleine Bastien and Commissioner Keon Hardemon present the 2023 Haitian History Bee with Sons of Little Haiti to take place Wednesday, May 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Stephen P. Clark Government Center, Commission Chambers (2nd Floor), 111 NW 1st St., Miami, FL 33128.

Miami-Dade County’s District 2 and District 3 elementary, middle, and high school-aged students will have the opportunity to display their knowledge of Haiti for a trivia-based academic competition at the 2023 Haitian History Bee. Students will represent their schools and compete in the semifinals and finals rounds for prizes and the title of first-place winner. Youth will also be recognized for their scholastic achievements. The Haitian History Bee is a part of Commissioner Bastien’s signature events celebrating Haitian Heritage Month – Wonders of Haiti.
