Commissioner Monestime holds leadership meetings to reach out to District 2 residents

Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jean Monestime, in his continuing effort to keep the community informed, hosted two leadership breakfast meetings this past Monday, October 17, 2011 and on Columbus Day, October 10, 2011 with various stakeholders from the community to discuss issues  pertaining to District 2. 

Among those in attendance were representatives from civic organizations including Family Impressions Foundation, The Coalition of 100, Sant La, NANA and Positive Impact Foundation.  Also in attendance were representatives from Gladesview, Tri-Community, Arcola Lakes, Alhambra Heights, Little River Farms, Steven Manor, Washington Park, Gratigny  and Central Homeowners Associations.  In addittion to discussions about redistricting and budget impact on the district, participants engaged in brainstorming regarding short-term and long-term economic development initiative. 

Commisioner Monestime will continue to maintain open lines of communication with the concerned citizens of District 2 so that they can work together to bring about lasting changes.
