Commissioner Monestime urges citizens to vote on Election Day, August 14
Polls Open Tuesday at 7 a.m. in Miami-Dade County
Commissioner Jean Monestime, District 2, reminds voters in District 2 to exercise their constitutional right to cast a ballot in Tuesday’s Primary Election.
Precincts in Miami-Dade County open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14.
Voters are reminded to bring a current and valid identification that contains your name and photograph and signature. Acceptable forms of identification include:
- Florida Driver's License
- Florida identification card issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles
- United States Passport
- Debit or credit card
- Military identification
- Student identification
- Retirement center identification
- Public assistance identification
- Neighborhood Association identification
If you do not have a valid and current identification, you may be asked to vote using a provisional ballot.
“Exercise your right to vote and make your voice heard at the ballot box in this Primary Election,” said Commissioner Monestime. “The right to vote is one of our most precious rights in this democracy.”
