Black Police Precinct and Courthouse Museum

Commissioner Audrey Edmonson (l) and Commissioner Jean Monestime helped inaugurate the new location of the Teen Court program at the Black Police Precinct and Courthouse Museum on February 25, 2013.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jean Monestime, District 2, joined Commissioner Audrey Edmonson, District 3, on February 25, 2013 at the Historic Black Police Precinct and Courthouse Museum to celebrate the new location of Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust’s Miami-Dade County Teen Court (M-DCTC) court hearings.

M-DCTC will hold its hearings at the historic location from February through September 2013.

The inaugural celebration held on February 25, 2013, was an auspicious occasion where honorable judges from South Florida were there to be acknowledged during Black History Month. MDEAT’s Teen Court presented the Black judges with an award to thank them for their devoted service to the community.
