Vice Chairwoman Edmonson informs residents of anti-gang services during Walking One Stop

Vice Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson joined social and economic service providers, young people and the staff of the Walking One Stop Center on a door-to-door walk of the 1400 block of NW 60th Street, Miami on July 25, 2011 to meet and talk with residents about the proliferation of gangs and gang violence.

The One Stop Center is a component of the Miami-Dade Anti-Gang Strategy and Coalition which helps frequent victims of gang violence with referrals to social service providers and criminal justice system personnel to help them cope and survive. The Coalition, which aims to reduce gang-related violence, is the collaborative effort of the U.S. Attorney's Office, the State Attorney's Office and Miami-Dade County.
