Vice Chairwoman Edmonson recognizes importance of non-profits at PhilanthroFest

Vice Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson presented a proclamation to the organizers of PhilanthroFest on April 14, 2012 at Midtown Miami, 110 N.E. 36 Street, in Wynwood.  A celebration of the great non-profit community of Miami-Dade County, PhilanthroFest united more than 75 philanthropic organizations in one location and also featured artists, dancers, musicians, and food.

"In these tough economic times, I know how difficult it is for non-profits to survive and grow," said Vice Chairwoman Edmonson. "I hope that this type of event will not only showcase organizations but also convince people that they can help by offering time or talent if money is not an option.  PhilanthroFest gives people a chance to learn about our great non-profits and enjoy Midtown Miami's Green Space in District 3."
