Vice Chairwoman Edmonson joins the Rev. Jesse Jackson to promote voting among African-Americans

Vice Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson emphasized the importance of voting at "The Black Church Votes: From Motivation to Mobilization," held April 29, 2012 at the 93rd Street Community Baptist Church.  The keynote speaker was the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson who spoke of the important role churches play in getting out the vote in the African-American community. The Rev. Jackson preached about the importance of teaching young people the importance of voting, the continued battle against racism, and the controversial shooting of Trayvon Martin.
