New sign welcomes people to Bayside Historic District

Vice Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson joined the board of the Bayside Residents Association and City of Miami Commissioner Marc Sarnoff to cut the ribbon on the new sign welcoming residents and visitors to the historic Bayside neighborhood, located between NE 68th Street and NE 72nd Street, east of Biscayne Boulevard, in the Upper East Side section of the City of Miami.  The area includes some of the oldest residences in Miami's historic districts, dating to the early 1900s.  More than a decade ago, the association initiated the project to erect a historic district gateway marker on the NE 69th Street median off Biscayne Boulevard and raised almost $8,000 towards the project.
