Miami-Dade Public Works Dept. honored by County Commission
Vice Chairwoman Audrey Edmonson and her colleagues on the County Commission presented a proclamation to Kathleen Woods-Richardson, Director, and the employees of the Miami-Dade County Public Works and Waste Management Department to mark National Public Works Week at the June 5, 2012 Board of County Commissioners meeting held at the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW 1st Street, in Miami. The Miami-Dade County Public Works and Waste Management Department is responsible for our community’s roadways and bridges, storm drainage, mosquito control, traffic signals and signs, canal maintenance, solid waste collection, disposal and recycling; its services are an integral part of our citizens’ everyday lives. Their labor is recognized through award-winning public works, waste management, and recycling programs and by its professionalism and efficiency.
