Vice Chairwoman Edmonson participates in Dade County Federal Credit Union Inauguration

On Sept. 10, 2012, Vice Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson presented a certificate of appreciation to George Joseph, President and CEO of the Miami-Dade Federal Credit Union, to help inaugurate the first credit union established in a Miami-Dade County school.

The credit union,  established at Booker T. Washington Senior High School, 1200 N.W. 6 Ave., Miami, will be staffed with students from the high school's Academy of Finance which prepares students for post-secondary education and/or careers in the financial services industry.

The ceremony included left to right, Alberto M. Carvalho, Superintendent of Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS),  Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall, MDCPS Board Member; William Aristide, Principal of Booker T. Washington Senior High School,  and Pablo Ortiz, Assistant Superintendent for MDCPS Education Transformation Office.
