Vice Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson helped cut the ribbon on the new Parkview Gardens, 1437 N.W. 61 St., Miami on Oct. 30, 2012. Parkview Gardens consists of 60 garden-style apartments designated for low-income families and individuals, with preference given to Liberty City residents and veterans. The development provides housing for families earning below 60 per cent of the area's median income, with six units set aside for those earning below 33 per cent.  The three-story residential buildings  include units ranging from one to three bedrooms, a community center, a parking garage, playground, exercise room, computer lab, library and picnic area. Parkview Gardens is the product of partnerships among Tacolcy, Carrfour, the City of Miami and Miami-Dade County.
