Commissioner Edmonson and MCI open Community Space
(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson joined, left to right, Miami Children's Initiative (MCI) Board Chairwoman Annie Neasman, School Board Member Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall, State Senator Dwight Bullard, MCI Executive Director Cecilia Gutierrez-Abetty, and MCI staff member Kalinthia Nunnally to cut the ribbon on the new MCI Community Space located at the Annie Coleman Complex, 1901 N.W. 60 St., Miami. The space was created as a "safe space" for neighborhood children and features a computer room; a reading room full of books, games and art supplies; and a training room for children and families to gather and enjoy movie nights and other events seven days a week.
