MIAMI, FL - Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson joined the Miami-Dade County Parks Foundation in thanking UnitedHealthcare volunteers at the National Day of Service and Remembrance Project held Sept. 7, 2013 at District 3's Olinda Park, 2101 N.W. 51 St., Miami.  The Foundation received funding from United Healthcare through CVBS EcoMedia's WellnessAd for improvements at the recently refurbished park which included installation of shade structure  for the fitness court, which features outdoor strength training and cardio exercise equipment. As part of its donation, UnitedHealthcare will provide full scholarships to 38 children who will attend the department's nationally recognized Fit2Play after-school program at Olinda Park. More than 200 volunteers paid tribute to the September 11 victims by planting more than 100 trees during the day at Olinda and nearby Jefferson Reaves Park.
