MIAMI, FL – Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson continued her monthly walk through the N.W. 18 Avenue corridor between 62 and 71 Streets in Liberty City on February 24, 2014 accompanied by Miami-Dade County Police, Public Works and Waste Management, and Code Enforcement staff. Commissioner Edmonson's purpose is to vigilantly cite negligent property owners, particularly of vacant lots, who do not cut the grass and allow garbage and debris to be dumped; assist residents whom she meets along the walks with any neighborhood concerns and to instill a sense of ownership and pride in area merchants and residents. Commissioner Edmonson is helped in the clean-up by members of the Miami Service Corps.
