(MIAMI, FL) – Commissioner Audrey Edmonson and staff joined Miami-Dade County Deputy Mayor Russell Benford and other federal, state and local government officials, faith leaders, social and economic service providers, as well as criminal justice personnel and community activists as the Walking One Stop knocked on doors in Overtown on April 13, 2015 offering assistance to residents.

During the Walking One Stop, the CareerSource South Florida Mobile Workforce Assistance Center was on site to assist citizens in finding employment, creating and updating résumés, and offering a range of testing and assessment services needed to become job-ready.  The Miami-Dade Community Action and Human Services Department’s “Services in Motion” mobile unit also was on hand to provide assistance with accessing child care/Head Start, youth, elderly, and disability services, utility bill assistance, and a host of other social and economic services.
