MIAMI – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson joined forces with Santa Claus on Dec. 17 at the Joseph Caleb auditorium to give District 3 children an early Christmas. More than 700 children ranging in age from newborn to 17 were invited to pick out a Christmas toy or gift and meet Santa.  Commissioner Edmonson and Santa were helped by many elves, including members of the Sigma Delta Theta Dade County and Miami Alumnae Associations, the Red Hat Society, St. Arthur's Lodge Number 488, staff from Miami Children's Initiative, MCM Construction, Miami World Center, Curley’s House, Borinquen Health Care, members of the Brownsville Civic Neighborhood Association and many student volunteers. The auditorium was beautifully decorated by Caleb Center and Auditorium staff.
