(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- Miami-Dade residents are cordially invited to the opening of the Hispanic Art Expressions 2011 featuring works of art by Hispanic culture artists. The free event, hosted by Miami-Dade Vice Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson and the Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board, will be held at the ZADOK Gallery, 2534 North Miami Avenue, in Wynwood on Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Other event supporters include the Design, Midtown & Wynwood Experience, Inc. and La Porteña Restaurant.
Over two dozen local residents' work will be featured at the gallery, all of them amateur artists who represent a broad scope of artistic styles and Latin cultures. The event was organized to not only highlight their talent but to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month which falls during the month of October. The artists will be present at the gallery to talk about their pieces.
"What better way to celebrate Hispanic heritage than to showcase the wonderful talent we have right here in Miami-Dade County?" said Vice Chairwoman Edmonson. "I invite the public to attend this fantastic event, which takes place during Wynwood Arts Walk, learn more about the artists and visit the neighboring galleries during this monthly art walk."
