Vice Chairwoman Edmonson and Mayor Regalado to hold annual "One Bullet Kills the Party" press conference

Community leaders will discourage celebratory gunfire on New Year’s Eve


Vice Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson and City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado, along with various law enforcement and community leaders, will be holding their annual press conference asking residents to refrain from shooting guns in the air in celebration of New Year's Eve. The conference is scheduled for Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Williams Park, 1717 NW 5 Avenue, in Overtown at 10 a.m. 

Two years ago, a young Italian boy visiting Miami with his family was injured with a stray bullet on New Year's Eve. Vice Chairwoman Edmonson and Mayor Regalado are urging the community to prevent these incidents from occurring by passing along the message that "One Bullet Kills the Party."
