DMV to Go available in Northwest Dade for driver's license renewals on June 29
Northwest Dade residents looking to renew their driver’s licenses or ID cards can stop by the DMV to Go at St. James AME Church, 1845 NW 65th Street, on Friday, June 29, 2012. Vice Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson has partnered with the Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles and the Miami-Dade County Office of Community Advocacy to bring a mobile DMV unit closer to residents in her district. DMV representatives will be assisting residents in renewing their licenses, as well as name and address changes, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Space is limited, so residents are encouraged to reserve a spot by calling St. James AME Church at 305-691-4212 or Vice Chairwoman Edmonson’s office at 305-636-2331. Residents must bring proper proof of identification to be serviced. More information on what residents should bring is available at www.gathergoget.com. State ID cards will cost $25 and driver’s license renewals will cost $48 (an additional charge of $15 will be added if license is already expired). DMV to Go accepts cash, personal checks (no temporary checks), American Express, Discover, and Mastercard.
The DMV to Go does not administer any driving exams, so first-time driver’s license applicants cannot be assisted at this location.
For more information, please contact Vice Chairwoman Edmonson’s office at 305-636-2331.
