Northwest 18 Avenue corridor streets to return to original names
(MIAMI, FL) – Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson will join residents and business owners on Wednesday, April 30 at 9:30 a.m. at Broadway Mini Park, 6950 NW 18 Ave., to unveil the new “old” street names of the NW 18th Avenue corridor from NW 68 to NW 70 Streets.
When the area was originally platted in 1922, the streets bore the names of U.S. Presidents Adams, Monroe, Jefferson, Lincoln and Washington. At the behest of residents, Commissioner Edmonson will co-designate the streets with the original presidential names.
