Commissioner Edmonson invites residents to attend the first “Working Women Vote” town hall meeting

MIAMI, FL – Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson will join State Representative Cynthia Stafford, Adora Obi Nweze, President of the Miami-Dade Branch of the NAACP, Maribel Balbin, President of the Miami-Dade League of Women Voters and Margaret Kosyk, Staff Attorney for Florida Legal Services at the “Working Women Vote” Town Hall Meeting taking place on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 6:30PM – 8:30PM at the Joseph Caleb Center, 5400 NW 22nd Ave., Building A, Room 110.

The purpose of the “Working Women Vote” town hall meeting is to engage Miami-Dade working women and activists in a conversation about wages and the growing demand for an economy that works for everyone in our community, not just the wealthy. Female residents from District 3 are encouraged to attend the town hall meeting to get informed and help advance the federal and state debate on policies that help women and their families get a head, not just get by.
