Commissioner Audrey Edmonson and Communities United Inc. will distribute free hurricane survival kits to needy senior citizens. 50 Low-Income Seniors to Receive Donated Hurricane and Disaster Preparedness Kits


(MIAMI, FL) – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson along with Communities United, Inc. will be hosting the 9th Annual Door-to-Door Hurricane Kit Giveaway on Thursday, May 29, 2014 beginning at 10:00 a.m. and departing from Tacolcy Center, 6161 NW 9 Ave. as a part of the Seniors First Hurricane and Disaster Preparedness Program.

The Door-to-Door Hurricane Kit Giveaway will help educate senior citizens in the community on what to do during a natural disaster and to make sure they have all the necessary supplies for the 2014 Hurricane season.
