Commissioner Audrey Edmonson to join Atlantic | Pacific Communities in a turkey giveaway to new Seventh Avenue Transit Village residents

(MIAMI) – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Audrey Edmonson will join Atlantic | Pacific Communities in giving away turkeys to residents of a newly opened Liberty City affordable housing community as they celebrate Thanksgiving in their brand new homes.

The turkey giveaway will take place on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 2:30 p.m. at the new Seventh Avenue Transit Village at the corner of Northwest Sixth Court and 62nd Street.

Commissioner Edmonson and Ken Naylor, Chief Operating Officer of A|P Communities, will provide each family with a turkey for the holidays to cook in their brand new kitchens.

Seventh Avenue Transit Village is a transit-oriented affordable housing community located in the heart of Liberty City.  The newly moved-in residents will be personally greeted by Commissioner Edmonson and the head of A|P Communities as residents show off their beautiful new building. The unique affordable housing development hosts its own transit station, retail space and a state-of-the-art performance theater which is still under construction. The Liberty City community has been a bastion of art and culture in Miami Dade County since the 1940s.  The development was part of a successful partnership with Miami-Dade Transit.
