Free film to promote financial literacy in African American community on Feb. 12


MIAMI – In an effort to help promote financial literacy in the African American community, Miami-Dade County Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson and the Black Archives Historic Lyric Theater will host a free screening of the film “Black Friday” on Friday, Feb. 12 at 8 p.m. at the Historic Lyric Theater, 819 NW 2nd Ave., Miami FL 33136. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Presented by Latonja Eppinger, SMART GAL Productions, Suzanne Boyd, and THE PARTY COMPANY, the film seeks to educate African Americans on the importance of economic responsibility and the need to leave their children a secure financial future.
