Vice Chairwoman Edmonson to help host 5th Annual Mock DUI event


MIAMI – Miami-Dade Commission Vice Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson will help host the 5th Annual Mock DUI event on Friday, May 12 from 9 to 11 a .m. at Miami Northwestern Senior High School, 1100 NW 71st Street, Miami, FL 33150.

Students, first responders and volunteers will enact a mock car crash caused by a DUI driver and the response by fire, police, and EMT personnel to demonstrate the consequences of driving while intoxicated.

Vice Chairwoman Edmonson will be joined by Miami-Dade County School Board Member Dr. Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall, the Miami-Dade County Police Department Northside Station, the County Mayor’s Office, the City of Miami Fire Rescue/Police Department, City of Miami Commissioner Francis Suarez and Urban League of Greater Miami CEO/President T. Willard Fair.
