Commissioner Keon Hardemon and Mayor Francis Suarez to honor Betty Wright with street naming ceremony

MIAMI – On Monday, April 5, 2021, Miami-Dade County Commissioner Keon Hardemon and City of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez will honor the late Betty Wright with a street unveiling ceremony for “Betty Wright Lane.” A portion of Northwest 14th Avenue from Northwest 62nd Street to Northwest 67th Street will be dedicated to the legendary Grammy Award-winning soul singer and Liberty City native for her musical legacy and civic contributions. The ceremony will take place at Alonzo Kelly Park.
