Commissioner Edmonson to host District 3 Walk-In Open House featuring County Departments
Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson will host a District 3 Walk-In Open House on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at her district office located at the Joseph Caleb Center, 5400 NW 22 Avenue, Suite 701, Miami. Representatives from Public Housing; the Water and Sewer Administration; Transit; the Miami-Dade Police Department; and the Regulatory and Economic Resources’ Building Division, Neighborhood Compliance, Consumer Protection, Environmental Resources Management, and For Hire Transportation will be among other departments available to answer questions and provide assistance to the public.
Commissioner Edmonson helps seniors get ready for hurricane season
Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson distributed hurricane preparedness kits to seniors in District 3 as she has done for the past eight years. Commissioner Edmonson, in collaboration with Hattie Willis, Executive Director, Communities United Inc., distributed 200 kits this year to help low-income seniors prepare and survive a hurricane before hurricane seasons starts on June 1.
Commissioner Edmonson was named a 2014 Champion of Equality by SAVE
Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson was named a 2014 Champion of Equality by SAVE at its annual celebration held May 9, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Miami. SAVE also honored State Representative David Richardson and filmmaker Joe Cardona for their championing of civil rights for all. Since 1993, SAVE has advocated for equal rights for persons of all sexual orientations and gender identities.
