Audrey M. Edmonson has served on the Miami-Dade County Commission as District 3 commissioner since December 2005. She represents the communities of Liberty City, Little Haiti, Overtown, the Upper East Side, Edgewater, Allapattah, and Wynwood.

Welcome to District 3

She represents the communities of Liberty City, Little Haiti, Overtown, the Upper East Side, Edgewater, Buena Vista, Allapattah, Wynwood, Venetian Causeway and Watson Island, all located in the City of Miami; Brownsville, Biscayne Shores and Gardens Park area, the Village of El Portal and the City of Miami Shores.

Commissioner Edmonson Visits Baby Bulls

In her annual District 3 tour for staff, Commissioner Edmonson made a special stop to visit with the "Baby Bulls" at Miami-Northwestern Senior High School, 1100 N.W. 71 St., Miami. Nick-named after the school mascot, the children are part of the school's day care services.

Commissioner Edmonson Speaks at Black Women Lawyers Association

Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson spoke before the Third Annual Legal Education Forum for C.O.P.E. North students on May 24, 2013 at the Lawson E. Thomas Courthouse Center, 175 N.W. 1 Ave., Miami. The forum was sponsored by the Eleventh Judicial Court of Florida, Gwen Cherry Black Women Lawyers Ass. and the Miami-Biscayne Bay Chapter of the Links.

Charles Drew Middle School Students at BCC

Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson invited 32 students from Charles Drew Middle School to attend the May 7, 2013 Board of County Commissioners meeting held at the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 N.W. 3 St., Miami.

Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson spoke before the Miami-Dade Advocacy Trust (MDEAT) 6th Annual "Speaking Out Against Violence" Teen Court Conference held May 1, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 400 S. Second Ave., Miami.

Don't Drink and Drive

Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson was joined by City of Miami Mayor Tomás Regalado on May 3, 2013 in addressing seniors at Miami Northwester Senior High School, 1100 N.W. 71 St., Miami at a "Mock DUI" staged by the Urban Drug Free Community Coalition, Urban League of Greater Miami, City of Miami Police and Fire departments, Miami-Dade County Police and Miami-Dade County School Police departments.

Commissioner Edmonson Speaks at Stop the Violence Rally

Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson joined more than 100 neighborhood kids in Liberty City on April 29, 2013 at Gwen Cherry Park gym, 7090 N.W. 22 Ave., Miami to meet and greet Miami-Dade Police Director J.D. Patterson, Citizens Crime Watch's mascot, McGruff the Crime Dog, Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jean Monestime and Mayor Carlos Gimenez at the "Stop the Violence Rally" hosted by the Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) and Youth Crime Watch of Miami-Dade County.

Commissioner Edmonson Continues NW 18 Avenue Clean-Up

On April 24, 2013, Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson continued her efforts to clean-up the N.W. 18th Avenue corridor between N.W. 62 and 71 Streets in Liberty City and was joined in her 10th sweep by Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) Major Stephanie Daniels who was recently assigned to head the MDPD Northside District.
