Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County

African Heritage Cultural Arts Center
6161 NW 22nd Avenue
With a 300-seat music hall, rehearsal/practice rooms, 250-seat fully outfitted Wendell A Narcisse Performing Arts Theater, the Amadlozi Gallery, a 1,900 square-foot dance studio, and several multipurpose classrooms for ceramics, photography, band, painting, and chorus, the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center remains an excellent resource for District 3 residents of all ages.
American Legion Harvey Seeds Post 29

Located in Miami’s Upper East Side, the American Legion Post 29 is a non-profit organization that provides community service to South Florida residents. Entertainment and dining are showcased on weekends.
Biscayne Boulevard Historic District
This area’s Miami Modern architecture graces restaurants, cafes, bars, and entertainment.
The Black Archives

The Black Archives History and Research Foundation of South Florida, Inc., founded in 1977, collects and preserves the history and culture of black people in Miami Dade-County from 1896 to the present.
Haitian Heritage Museum
3940 North Miami Avenue
The Haitian Heritage Museum consists of three components: museum space hosting Haitian visual arts exhibitions, and historical literary works; artist’s loft where local and international art students can learn more about Haitian art and 200-seat theater for film projects; and various sidewalk shops, boutiques and restaurants reflecting Haitian Heritage.
Joseph Caleb Community Center

This center is the home to a 991-seat performing arts facility where many community programs and activities take place for all ages. It also houses Commissioner Edmonson’s district office.
Lyric Theater
819 NW 2nd Avenue
Originally built in 1914, the Lyric Theater is a historic Overtown landmark, serving as a center for the performing arts in the surrounding African-American community. It was recently restored and is included in the National Register of Historic Places.
