Help animals in need
Supporters of Miami-Dade County Animal Services Department can now make donations to the Animal Services Trust Fund online! Join the Animal Services Trust Fund in helping reunite shelter pets with their owners, find them new homes and work with over 40 rescue groups and partners to save as many animals as possible.
Save money on prescriptions
In collaboration with the National Association of Counties (NACo), Miami-Dade County launched a new prescription discount card program. The free Miami-Dade County Prescription Discount Card can save you an average of 24% on prescriptions at participating pharmacies.

Welcome to District 4
As the Commissioner for District 4, let me first welcome you to the County’s website. We hope you find it useful and easy to navigate.
District 4 is located in the northeastern corner of Miami-Dade County. The boundaries start at the county line and extend south along the oceanfront to Miami Beach. The 13 cities that comprise this district include Golden Beach, Aventura, North Miami Beach, North Miami, Sunny Isles Beach, Surfside, Bal Harbour, Bay Harbor Islands, Biscayne Park, Indian Creek, Miami Beach, Miami Shores and North Bay Village.
Our Miami-Dade website will give you greater access to the services we provide to residents of Miami-Dade County. You also have the opportunity to view important items involving the Board of County Commissioners on a regular basis.
Thousands of volunteers will join Miami-Dade County Commissioner Sally A. Heyman for the 31st Annual Baynanza Clean Up
Miami-Dade County Commissioner Sally A. Heyman will be joining thousands of volunteers by taking part in the 31st Annual Baynanza Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day. This massive cleanup effort, taking place on Saturday, April 20th, will allow participants to show their love for the beauty of Biscayne Bay while giving back to the community is the largest volunteer shoreline cleanup in Miami-Dade.
Miami-Dade County to honor the 65th anniversary of Israel’s Independence Day
Chairwoman Rebeca Sosa and Commissioner Sally A. Heyman will honor the 65th anniversary of the creation of the State of Israel during the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. at the Stephen P. Clark Center.
Commissioner Sally A. Heyman Donates Segways to Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces
Miami-Dade County Commissioner Sally A. Heyman in her continued support of public safety has donated two Segways to Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Enforcement Division.
County services closer to you!
North Dade residents won’t have to travel far for assistance with basic County services, thanks to a new Service Center open at the North Dade Justice Center, 15555 Biscayne Boulevard. The new office will allow residents to purchase Transit passes, auto tags, and memberships to cultural activities, as well as pay taxes, submit service requests, and receive information and referrals.
Communities Putting Prevention to Work
Communities Putting Prevention to Work has funded the Action Institute, a national program which supports local communities in their efforts to stem the tide in our national epidemics of tobacco use and obesity. Miami-Dade County officials have taken the lead to bring this program here and implement effective solutions to these daunting health problems.
