Local officials to "Hit the Switch" for e-Notify

Sponsor Miami Dade County Commissioner Sally A. Heyman , Supervising Project Administrator Judge Steve Leifman, Project Initiator Police Chief Steve Steinberg and principal system participants: State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle, Clerk Harvey Ruvin, Chief Judges Joel Brown and Joseph Farina, Public Defender Carlos Martinez, Miami Dade Police Chiefs, Enterprise Technology Services and Court Administrators will be holding a press conference announcing the full implementation of e-Notify: a paperless court notification system and the cessation of printed subpoenas for Court and Cops.

"e-Notify system will save thousands of manpower hours related to court proceedings, allow police departments to redirect officers and resources to increase public safety, meet green initiatives and save millions of dollars," said Commissioner Heyman.

"Monthly meetings held over several years with professional and dedicated staff have resulted in this milestone," said Judge Steve Leifman.

You will see the "push of the button" and the manual process, courier deliveries and + 600,000 hard copy paper subpoenas (50,000+ a month) will be a thing of the past.
