As Miami-Dade County Commissioner of District 5, I would like to welcome you to our website.

I have established this website to expand the access to my office for constituents in District 5.  Hopefully, dealing with County government can be simplified by offering a better and more efficient way of communicating.

In an attempt to continuously develop and improve this site, new features have been created recently with more planned for the near future. These additions were created to provide you with more information about the district, my office, and enhance your ability to communicate with us.  Your opinions are very important to me and I encourage you to contact me your comments and feedback.

More than 1,000 children, from all areas of Miami-Dade, participated in a special showing of Bilibambom, an ecology show for children at the Roxy Theater. The interactive show included the children's participation as they laughed and danced assisting the Chiquilinas forming a protective team to save the Planet Earth.

Miami-Dade Commissioners travelled to Washington D.C. last February to meet with federal officials to present their critical priorities and appropriations list related to 2008 legislative agenda.  

Citrus Grove Middle School received a $ 5,000 donation from District 4 County services funds in November 2007 for landscaping and school beautification.
