Commissioner Eileen Higgins to launch the District 5 Mom and Pop Small Business Grant Program

MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Eileen Higgins, District 5, will host a press conference on Wednesday, March 17 at 11 a.m. with small business owners in Little Havana to launch the District 5 Mom and Pop Small Business Grant Program.

The District 5 Mom and Pop Program is tailored each year to address hardships faced by small businesses in need. In 2019, program funding was prioritized for businesses impacted by the destructive West Flagler construction project, and in 2020 it was activated to help restaurants and retailers forced to close their doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, the program will continue to fund small businesses across District 5 that have been impacted by the pandemic.
