Commissioner Eileen Higgins to host community vaccination event in Little Havana

MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commissioner, Eileen Higgins, District 5 will host a community vaccination event on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 1349 West Flagler St., Miami, FL 33135. No appointment necessary walk-ups welcome.

Vaccines will be available for individuals ages 12 years and older who wish to receive the 1st or 2nd dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. Booster shots will also be available for residents ages 65 years and older and for the immunocompromised ages 18 years and older. Residents receiving the booster shot must have completed the 1st series of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least six months ago.

“We’ve made extraordinary progress in our community related to vaccinations. With the holiday season around the corner, we want to provide residents with the protection they need to safely reunite in celebration with their family and friends,” said Commissioner Higgins. “My team and I are looking for the best ways to help bring the vaccines directly to the neighborhoods who need it most, and we’re happy to partner with Nomi Health to make it a reality.”

Attendees who will be receiving the booster shot must bring their vaccination card. COVID-19 vaccinations records can be requested here.
