Commissioner Eileen Higgins to launch the 2022 District 5 Mom and Pop Small Business Grant Program on Miami Beach

Press conference begins promptly at 10:30 a.m.

MIAMI-DADE – To kick off National Small Business Week, Miami-Dade County Commissioner Eileen Higgins, District 5, will host a press conference at 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 2, at Reebok Crossfit Miami Beach, 930 Alton Rd., Miami Beach, FL 33139, with local organizations and small business owners to launch the 2022 District 5 Mom and Pop Small Business Grant Program. Eligible small businesses will receive up to $5,000 for their business.

Each year, the program is tailored to address specific hardships currently faced by small businesses. In 2018, the program was activated to help businesses impacted by the construction on the West Flagler Street corridor. Since 2020, program funds have been used for businesses impacted by the pandemic, including those that were forced to close their doors.
