As Miami-Dade County Commissioner of District 5, I would like to welcome you to our website.

I have established this website to expand the access to my office for constituents in District 5.  Hopefully, dealing with County government can be simplified by offering a better and more efficient way of communicating.

In an attempt to continuously develop and improve this site, new features have been created recently with more planned for the near future. These additions were created to provide you with more information about the district, my office, and enhance your ability to communicate with us.  Your opinions are very important to me and I encourage you to contact me your comments and feedback.

Commissioner Barreiro invites small business owners in his district to apply for funding through the Mom and Pop Program. Check to see if you are eligible to receive grant money to go towards purchasing equipment, marketing, and other resources to help your business thrive.

Commissioner Barreiro is reminding residents that registration for domestic partnerships may be done with assistance from the Consumer Services Department.  For more information on how to register, please visit CSD's website.  

The installation of Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Alvarez, Chairman Bruno A. Barreiro and Members of the Board of County Commissioners took place at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.
