Commissioner Kevin Marino Cabrera to Designate Portion of SW 56th Street as "Rev. Alberto Delgado Way"

(Miami-Dade, FL) - TODAY, Commissioner Kevin Marino Cabrera will host a street designation ceremony on Friday, March 1st to honor Reverend Alberto M. Delgado from Alpha & Omega Church by naming a portion of SW 56th Street between SW 77th Court and SW 82nd Avenue Road as "Rev. Alberto M. Delgado Way".

Reverend Alberto M. Delgado's remarkable journey and lifelong dedication to serving others have earned him this distinguished recognition. Born in Havana, Cuba on October 12, 1946, Reverend Delgado arrived in America as part of Operation Peter Pan in 1962. He served in the United States Army Medical Corp. during the Vietnam War and later established Alpha & Omega, a bilingual local church, in Miami in 1985, which has grown to over 5,000 members.

Reverend Delgado's contributions extend beyond his congregation, as he provides assistance to needy families, school supplies to children, and spiritual support to the elderly and incarcerated individuals. He is also a chaplain for the Miami-Dade Police Department and the Florida Highway Patrol.

A ceremony and a press conference will be held on Friday, March 1st 2024 at noon at Alpha & Omega Church, located on 7800 Miller Dr, Miami, FL 33155.
