Commissioner Rebeca Sosa to be sworn in by U.S. Senator Marco Rubio as the first Hispanic Chairwoman of the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners
On Friday, January 18, 2013, Commissioner Rebeca Sosa will be sworn in as the first Hispanic Chairwoman of the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners. U.S. Senator Marco Rubio, a long-time friend of the Chairwoman, will be administering her oath of office. Chairwoman Sosa will be joined by her colleagues, friends, family, and residents as she is publicly installed to serve a two-year term, along with Commissioner Lynda Bell as Vice Chair. The ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m. in the Commission Chambers of the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW 1st Street, Miami.
