Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners adopt ordinance requiring background investigation for naming, renaming or codesignation of Miami-Dade County roads, facilities or property
(Miami, FL) - The Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners today adopted Chairwoman Rebeca Sosa’s ordinance calling for the Commission Auditor to complete background research on any person, organization, place or thing that is the subject of a naming, renaming or codesignation of Miami-Dade County roads, facilities or property.
The Board of County Commissioners honor individuals and organizations that have made a direct and significant contribution to Miami-Dade County. Proposed naming, renaming or codesignation is sponsored by the Commissioner of the district where the property is located. All proposals require a public hearing followed by a vote from the Board.
