Free Civil Law Clinic for the community on April 20th
(Miami, FL) - Miami-Dade residents will have the opportunity to ask experienced attorneys about any legal matter while learning about available Florida Bar resources during a FREE Civil Law Clinic. The free event will take place on Saturday, April 20th, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Liberty City Health and Wellness Center located at 6112 N.W. 7th Avenue.
The free clinic is co-sponsored by several community organizations including the Miami-Dade County Black Affairs Advisory Board, the Miami-Dade Brach of the NAACP, the Wilkie D. Ferguson Bar Association and the Caribbean Bar Association.
“Very often people have specific questions about legal matters that can be easily answered by an experienced attorney in that field. We want to provide the community the opportunity to gain knowledge about civil legal issues free of charge. Many attorneys have volunteered their time to point our constituents in the right direction”, said Stephen Hunter Johnson, chair of the Black Affairs Advisory Board’s economic development subcommittee.
The initiative is part of the Black Affairs Advisory Board’s community outreach efforts through its “Village Dialogue” series which provides community members relevant information and the opportunity to address their concerns in a public forum.
